01Where we sit

From magnet to motion.

Every machine that moves runs on the same chain. India mines the ore and is building magnet plants, and machine builders are everywhere. The layer in between, motors, drives, gearboxes and actuators, is almost entirely imported. That is our layer.

What happens here

Motor, drive, gearbox and sensors working as one joint.

What Hirak builds

Integrated joint modules with encoders, brakes and torque sensing, characterised on our test rig before they ship.

02Platform

One motion core. Many products.

BLDC motors, servos and actuators share the same core: electromagnetics, power electronics, control firmware and gearing. We build that core once, then shape it into whatever your machine needs.

HL · Linear actuators & gearmotors

On the roadmap

Hirak Linear

  • Ball and lead screw stages
  • Integrated drive option
  • Sealed variants

Python SDK

Command, log and tune from a notebook.

ROS 2 driver

Drop-in for robot software stacks.

Simulation models

Measured friction and thermal parameters, not guesses.

Calibration data

Per-unit records shipped with every joint.

Software is part of the actuator. Planned for every Hirak product.

03Actuator explorer

Every joint is a trade-off. Play with it.

A higher ratio buys torque and costs speed, backdrivability and inertia. Choose a reducer and a motor and watch the joint change. This is the first conversation we have with every customer.

Backlash

Very low

Shock tolerance: High, about 5–10× rated torque.

Idealised estimates for early exploration: a linear motor torque–speed line, typical gear efficiencies, and qualitative backdrivability. Real numbers come from the test rig, which is why we measure every joint we ship.

04Custom actuators

Every joint, a thousand iterations. We do them for you.

Off-the-shelf actuators force your robot around their limits. We design the joint around your machine instead, from the first spec sheet to a tested batch.

  1. 01

    Define

Torque, speed, size, mass, voltage, bus and environment. We turn your machine's needs into a joint specification.

  2. 02

    Model

Electromagnetic, thermal and gear sizing, so the first prototype is already close.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Printed and machined iterations on our bench. A good actuator takes hundreds of them, and we do them so you don't have to.

  4. 04

    Prove

Torque–speed and efficiency maps, thermal plateau, backlash, stiffness and life hours, measured on our test rig and shared with you.

  5. 05

    Build

Small batches with calibration records, documentation, spares and support from India.

05Why Hirak, why India

Cheap made motion common. We'll make it trusted.

India has the engineers, the ore and the ambition. What it imports is the layer in between: the motors, drives and actuators that make machines move. We are building that layer here, and we intend to win on trust, not just on price.

01

Traceable supply

Magnet-flexible designs and documented sourcing. No single-country dependency, and nothing a defence buyer can't trace.

02

Honest datasheets

Continuous torque at a stated temperature, efficiency maps, backlash and life hours, measured on our rig. Not peak numbers from a brochure.

03

Software included

Python and ROS 2 drivers, calibration data and simulation models ship with the hardware, because integration is where projects stall.

04

Engineers next door

Design, support and spares from India, in your time zone, invoiced in rupees.

हीरक

The name

Hirak means diamond.

In Sanskrit, hīraka is the diamond: hard, precise and built to last. That is what a joint should be. Hirak Motion is precision that moves.
